FALCOM is an independent distribution and production company that focuses on the distribution of theatrical films in Germany, Austria and the German speaking part of Switzerland and the production and co-production of German as well as international films. The main objective of Falcom Media is to acquire, produce, co-produce, and distribute high-grade movies that are entertaining, zeitgeisty, and enthuse a wide audience. FALCOM was established in the year 2000 by the managing director Andreas Fallscheer and has since been able to attract millions of film fans and moviegoers to the cinemas. In the past Falcom distributed box-office-hits such as Michael Moore’s FAHRENHEIT 9/11 or DER WIXXER with a German all star comedian cast, and movies differing such as MONSIEUR IBRAHIM ET LES FLEURES DU CORAN with Omar Sharif, Michael Winterbottom´s and Mat Whitecross´s Silver Bear Winner ROAD TO GUANTANAMO, URMEL AUS DEM EIS a CGI-family entertainment movie, CHIKO, LILA LILA, THE SANDMAN AND THE LOST SAND OF DREAMS and 3FALTIG.

Andreas Fallscheer (managing director) As the founder of Highlight Communications AG and long standing CEO, Andreas Fallscheer played a major role in the growth of Highlight and its expansion. Highlight became one of the leading license-trading and distribution companies in the German-speaking region. In late 2000 Andreas Fallscheer founded FALCOM MEDIA, a film production and distribution company, where he can now devote more time to acquiring, producing and distributing films. Christiane Sommermeier (Marketing Director & Acquisitions) After her studies of communication and media at the University of Arts in Berlin, she worked at Zoom Medienfabrik from 2005 until 2009. Sebastian Brummer (Producer & Acquisitions) Sebastian Brummer holds a BA (hons) in business administration from the University of East London. As a student he already worked as a freelance assistant director and production coordinator on various film and tv projects both in Germany and the UK. He also holds an MA in Producing Film and Television from Royal Holloway, University of London. After his formal education he worked for Bumm Film and the Munich-based television production company Constantin Entertainment.
